Our carpenter’s shop is where it all began. As a company SAF was founded in 1961, but everything that guides us was born in our carpenter’s shop, in 1927, when we began working with wood.

The thoroughness, the study of the material, the ongoing pursuit for the best result. All this already existed a century ago, when – with simple tools – we learned to understand wood and how to best use it for our creations.

Over the decades our carpenter’s shop has changed, but – even today – it remains the beating heart of our company.
